Who we are

Willie’s journey to founding Bara Insurance and Financial Services began with a leap from the restaurant world into insurance in 2008, when he joined Physicians Mutual. Rising swiftly, he became Assistant Division Manager, Division Manager, and even served on the Advisory Board, proving his dedication and passion for the industry. Guided by his motto, “Do right by your clients, and everything else will fall into place,” Willie’s focus has always been on integrity and trust.

Originally from Henry, IL, where he grew up helping his grandparents at the local marina, Willie moved to Washington, IL in 1998. There he met Melissa, his wife, and together they’re raising three boys—Will, and twins Jacob and Lucas. When he's not helping clients, you might find Willie baking cakes, out hunting or fishing, or cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals with his family at Busch Stadium.

With over 16 years in the insurance business, Willie combines experience, humor, and a sincere approach to create lasting client relationships. He’s committed to educating clients, helping them safeguard their assets, and providing clear guidance on coverage options.
